The Museum of Modern Art: The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) acquires modern and contemporary art from around the world and hosts exhibits and film programs. It also supports research and publications related to its mission. MoMA’s collection includes almost 200,000 works of art, such as paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, and photographs; among these are works of Alexander Calder, Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, Jasper Johns, and Jackson Pollack. The collection also includes more than 30,000 films, videos, and related works. MoMA was founded in 1929 as a progressive alternative to traditional museums. A significant renovation and expansion of the museum, which nearly doubled its space, was completed in 2004.

Top of The Rock: Get the best view in all of New York City from the Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Plaza. Soak up three floors of indoor and outdoor viewing areas and admire the Big Apple’s popular landmarks, such as One World Trade Center, the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty and more.

Vessel: Vessel is a structure and visitor attraction built as part of the Hudson Yards Redevelopment Project in Manhattan, New York City, New York. Built to plans by the British designer Thomas Heatherwick, the elaborate honeycomb-like structure rises 16 stories and consists of 154 flights of stairs, 2,500 steps, and 80 landings for visitors to climb. Vessel is the main feature of the 5-acre Hudson Yards Public Square. Funded by Hudson Yards developer Related Companies, its final cost is estimated at $200 million. The concept of Vessel was unveiled to the public on September 14, 2016. Construction began in April 2017, with the pieces being manufactured in Italy and shipped to the United States. Vessel topped out in December 2017 with the installation of its highest piece, and it opened to the public on March 15, 2019. In January 2021, following three suicides at the Vessel, it was indefinitely closed to the public. The Vessel reopened in May 2021, then indefinitely closed again after another suicide two months later. The TKA abbreviation in the structure’s name stands for “Temporarily Known As”.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art: The Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York City, colloquially “the Met”, is the largest art museum in the Americas. Its permanent collection contains over two million works, divided among 17 curatorial departments. The main building at 1000 Fifth Avenue, along the Museum Mile on the eastern edge of Central Park on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, is by area one of the world’s largest art museums. A much smaller second location, The Cloisters at Fort Tryon Park in Upper Manhattan, contains an extensive collection of art, architecture, and artifacts from medieval Europe. The Metropolitan Museum of Art was founded in 1870 with its mission to bring art and art education to the American people. The museum’s permanent collection consists of works of art from classical antiquity and ancient Egypt, paintings, and sculptures from nearly all the European masters, and an extensive collection of American and modern art. The Met maintains extensive holdings of African, Asian, Oceanian, Byzantine, and Islamic art. The museum is home to encyclopedic collections of musical instruments, costumes, and accessories, as well as antique weapons and armor from around the world.

Belvedere Castle: Belvedere Castle is a folly in Central Park in Manhattan, New York City. It contains exhibit rooms, an observation deck, and since 1919 has housed Central Park’s official weather station. Belvedere Castle was designed by Calvert Vaux and Jacob Wrey Mould in 1867. An architectural hybrid of Romanesque and Gothic styles, the design called for a Manhattan schist and granite structure with a corner tower and conical cap, a lookout over parapet walls beneath it. Its name comes from belvedere, which means “beautiful view” in Italian.
